  • Brainstorming is an idea-creation method for generating a large number of creative ideas in a short period of time
  • A graphic organizer uses visual symbols that express thoughts, ideas, knowledge concepts, and the relationships between them. As a communication tool, it makes it easier for writers to classify their ideas and communicate them to others.
    1. Venn Diagram - is used to compare and contrast ideas and events.
  • 2. Network tree - it is used to represent hierarchy, classification, and branching. It is useful in showing relationships of scientific categories, family trees, and even lineages.
  • 3. Problem-Solution map -displays the nature of the problem and how it can be solved. This map usually contains the problem's description, its causes and effects, and logical solutions.
  • 5. Spider map (also known as a semantic map) - used to investigate and enumerate various aspects of a central idea, which could be a contact, topic, or theme.
  • 6. Timeline - is used the show how events occurred chronologically through a long bar labeled with dates and specific events. Timelines can be linear or comparative.
  • 7. Plot Diagram - is a tool used to map events in a story.
  • 7. Series of Events Chain – is used to show the logical sequence of events.
  • 8. Fishbone map - is used to better understand the causal relationship of a complex phenomenon. It shows the factors that cause a specific event or problem, as well as details of each cause.
  • 9. Cycle - describe how a series of events interact to produce a set of results repeatedly. Some examples of events that require a cycle or water cycle are metamorphosis and poverty cycle.
  • 10. Persuasion map – is used to map out arguments and evidence that prove a viewpoint. This is especially useful when processing persuasive or argumentative texts.
  • An outline is a structured and organized plan that serves as a roadmap for a document, presentation, or any form of written or spoken communication. It helps to organize ideas, concepts, and information logically and hierarchically, providing a clear overview of the content's structure.

  • Outline is a way of organizing ideas showing the relationship between and among ideas.
  • Outline helps to keep you on track by assigning major, overarching ideas and relatively minor, supporting points to

  • Outline is composed of numbers, Roman numeral numbers, and a small and capital letters in a tiered manner.
