  • Christians feel comforted because Jesus understands their suffering... Jesus experienced pain and suffering through his death on the cross, with nails in his hands and a crown of thorns.
  • Jesus' sacrifice on the cross gives Christians hope...
    Their sins will be forgiven if they accept Jesus as Lord and saviour and repent.
  • Christians will accept suffering in their lives...
    Jesus suffered on the cross, so they realise it is a part of life.
  • After meeting with his disciples and asking them to carry on his work, Jesus left them for one last time, where he was taken up, body and soul, to Heaven to rejoin God the Father. This event was witnessed by Jesus' remaining apostles.
  • The ascension glorified Jesus as it proved his divinity.
