• Hecate is angry because the witches have been disobedient by speaking to Macbeth and giving him prophecies without consulting her first
• Hecate claims to be the source of all their powers and decides what evil things happen in the world
• Hecate instructs the witches to meet her at the pit of Acheron the next morning with their cauldrons, spells, charms, and everything else they have
• Hecate plans to work on something terrible that will confuse Macbeth and make him believe that nothing can harm him
• The witches exit the scene after Hecate's instructions
