  • To find the mean of a frequency table total of the frequency/total of frequency*number.
  • To find the median, order the numbers and count from each side to the middle. Or you can add 1 to the total of the numbers and divide by two to get the position of the median.
  • The mode is the number that appears most often in a set of data.
  • A range is the difference between the highest value and lowest value in a set of data.
  • To find the angle of a part of the pie chart, the number of people is 360 degrees so to find 1 person you divide by the amount of people there are. Then times by the right amount till you either get the amount of people you need or the right angle.
  • The other way to find the angle on a pie chart is to divide the angle by 360 then times by the number of people.
  • BIDMAS- Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction.
  • There is 360 degrees in a pie chart.
  • To find the range in a frequency table it's always the number column, usually the 1st one.
  • To find the lower quartile add 1 to the amount of data then quarter it.
  • To find the upper quartile add 1 to the amount of data then quarter it and times by 3 (3/4).
