KINDS OF INJURIES

Cards (3)

  • Acute injury is usually associated with a sudden, traumatic event such as another player during a game or a fall from a bike. A traumatic impact can cause your bone to crack, muscles to tear, and ligaments to snap.
  • Chronic injury is caused by repeated overuse of muscle groups or joints. Poor technique and structural abnormalities can also contribute to the development of chronic injuries.
  • Overuse injuries are common among athletes who participate in sports that require repeated motions like running, jumping, throwing, or swinging.
