    • Types of Curricula in Schools:
      1. Recommended Curriculum:
      • Recommended by Department of Education (DepEd) for Basic Education, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for Higher Education, and TESDA for vocational education
      • Recommendations come in the form of memoranda, policies, standards, and guidelines
      • Other organizations like UNESCO may also recommend curricula
      2. Written Curriculum:
      • Includes documents based on the recommended curriculum such as course of study, syllabi, modules, books, or instructional guides
      • The K to 12 curriculum is an example for Philippine Basic Education
      3. Taught Curriculum:
      • Implementation of the written curriculum by teachers and learners
      • Depends on teaching style of the teacher and learning style of the learners
      4. Supported Curriculum:
      • Support materials needed by teachers for meaningful learning and teaching
      • Includes print materials like books, charts, posters, and non-print materials like Power Point presentations, movies, models, etc.
      • Facilities like playgrounds, science labs, museums, etc., where authentic learning occurs
      5. Assessed Curriculum:
      • Evaluation of taught and supported curricula to assess learning progress
      • Assessment for learning, assessment as learning, or assessment of learning
      6. Learned Curriculum:
      • Indicates learning through changed behavior in students
      • Measured by assessment tools indicating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes
      • Demonstrates higher order thinking and lifelong skills
      7. Hidden/Implicit Curriculum:
      • Not deliberately planned but impacts learner behavior
      • Influenced by peer pressure, school environment, media, societal changes, etc.
      • Teachers should be aware of and sensitive to this hidden curriculum
