  • In doll's house there is a loss of control through gender

  • Nora had been sold to helmer by her father and was being disowned by helmer so there is a sense of the loss of security and control of her life

  • When Nora leaves she ends her suffering but could argue causing Helmer's as he then loses his sense of control and is stuck in the house with the children
