Judaism teaches that there will be a day of Judgement or Day of the Lord. On this day, God will judge/ evaluate all actions and deeds of all individuals.
This judgement determines a soul's ultimate destiny and fate in the afterlife.
If a person has lived a good and righteous life, they will be gifted with Olam Ha Ba. (The world to come)
If an individual has lived a life of sin and wrongdoing, they will be punished with eternal damnation. This is a punishment not taken lightly.
God's judgement is believed to be fair and just.
Some Jews believe they will be judged by God after death, while others believe they will be judged by both God and the Messiah on the Day of Judgement.
