• specific learning disorders - difficulties learning and using academic skills

  Duration: at least 6 months, despite the provision of interventions that target those difficulties.

  Hallmark symptoms: slow and error-prone reading despite adequate intelligence
• dyslexia - a pattern of learning difficulties characterized by problems with accurate or fluent word recognition, poor decoding, and poor spelling abilities.
• dyscalculia - a pattern of difficulties characterized by problems processing numerical information, learning arithmetic facts, and performing accurate or fluent calculations.
• dyspraxia - a common disorder that affects your fine and/or gross motor coordination that may also affect their speech
• dysgraphia - a condition causing trouble with written work. often your handwriting will be poorly formed, difficult to read, a mixture of cursive and block letters and have letters of varying sizes
