  • The Actus Reas of a crime is the criminal law definition which refers to conduct and behaviour. It is the voluntary act or omission of the defendant which constituted criminal behaviour.

    -There are crimes where the actus reus is to cause a specific result eg murder as the defendant must cause the victims death(result crimes)
    -There are crimes where actus reus is being in a set of circumstances/affairs e.g being found illegally in the UK (Case R v Larsonneur)
