Two types of Historical Sources

• Is a testimony of an eyewitness or account of someone who has

  firsthand information on the subject.

  Primary Source
• Historians use primary sources to learn what people were thinking at the time of the event.
• Primary sources can help historians to explain events that happened long ago.
• Is a testimony or an account of someone who is not an eyewitness to the event being narrated.

  Secondary Source
• Secondary source simply uses primarily materials as the source of information.
