• What are the names of the three different Wave experiments?

  -Ripple tank experiment

  -Oscilloscope Experiment

  -String Experiment
• What is the ripple tank experiment?

  A ripple tank allows to to see the waves via water waves. This experiment involves using a signal generator attached to a dipper on the ripple tank to create water waves at a set frequency

  You can find out the Frequency via the amount of waves that travel across the ripple tank per second

  The distance between the waves is the wavelength and using these you can use the equation wave speed = frequency x Wave length

• What is the Oscilloscope experiment?

  Attaching a signal generator to a speaker you can generate sounds at a specific frequency. As we know sound waves are longitudinal waves therefore this is a longitudinal experiment. You can use 2 microphones and an Oscilloscope to measure the wavelength.

  
• What is the string experiment?

  -Using string and changing frequency you can create a clear wave visible in the wire

  -To do this a signal generator connected to a vibration transducer in order to change frequency and create movement in the waves

  -Weight at the end is used to stretch the string in order to see a clear wave
