Salah is the second pillar of Islam. Humans were created to worship Allah.
Significance:
All prophets taught people about worship.
Develop a close relationship with Allah.
Regular prayers keep a person away from evil/bad.
The first questions asked on the day of Mi'ad.
Nature:
Ambulation: Muslims make sure that they are clean before getting into conversion with Allah. They believe that washing their face, hands, mouth and feet prepares a person physically and spiritually for salah.
Time: In the Quran, Allah states that a Muslim must pray 5 times a day at certain times. Shi'a Muslims sometimes combine their prayers if they have commitments because they say Muhamad did the same.
Direction: Muslims pray facing the Makkah, where the Qibla is located.
Movement: Each salah involved certain steps or movements—different postures for each ra'kat.
Mosque- Muslims believe that mosques are places dedicated to worshipping Allah. Praying in mosques creates strength and unity in the spiritual and social bond between Muslims.

Praying at home- Some Muslim women pray at home. Clean areas designated for salah and also train children to pray regularly.
Jummah- A special congregation held every Friday—opportunities for sins to be forgiven and lots of blessings.
The adhan is said to proclaim the start of a prayer. Salah is led by an imam and all Muslims stand shoulder to shoulder to symbolise equality and unity.
