  • Social inequality
    Differences between members of society in terms of wealth, class, status and power
  • Institutional racism
    Organisational procedures, practices and attitudes that either intentionally or unintentionally discriminate against minority ethnic groups
  • Glass ceiling
    An informal or invisible barrier that prevents women from achieving senior positions in their chosen career.
  • Positive discrimination
    The automatic favouring, without proper consideration of merit, of under-represented individuals from minority groups over individuals in majority groups

    Prejudice, discrimination and/or hatred of people who are perceived to be gay, lesbian or bisexual
