  • A loss of interest and enjoyment in everyday life, with increased tiredness and reduced activity.
  • Three main grades
    mild, moderate and severe
  • Two are generally present for a diagnosis:
    lowered mood, reduction in energy, reduction in capacity for enjoyment, tiredness, disturbed sleep, diminished appetite, reduction of self-esteem, waking up hours before normal, weight loss, and loss of libido. Between 4-10% of people will experience depression in their lifetime.
