    • Design argument: because the universe is complex and intricate, it have happened by chance - it must have been planned by an intelligent being
    • Cosmological argument: this is to do with the understanding of cosmos - shows that God was the cause of the beginning of the universe
    • Moral argument: rules exist independently from human beings - these are objective and must have come from an external source - GOD
    • Atheism: the belief that there is no God.
    • The problem of evil: how can an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God allow people to suffer
    • Immortality: is eternal life - living forever
    • Miracles: events that seem to go against the laws of nature - things that seem impossible.
    • Revelation: the way that God shows himself to humans - direct and indirect
    • Omnipotent: all powerful, able to do anything
    • Omnibenevolent: all good, loves human beings, so is able to do whatever is best for them.
    • agnosticism: the belief that it is impossible to know whether or not there is a god
    • The cosmological argument goes against infinite regress
    • William Paley says that the universe is like a watch because they are both complex, and because a watch is designed, the universe must have also been designed.
    • Immanuel Kant did believe in god
