• computers that are more powerful follow these things: the speed and performance the size of memory, amount of storage and the type of graphics card
• a laptop is a portable computer that uses small parts that have low power consumption and allows it to run on battery
• we need to save power to promote green computing
• operating system allows us to control the activities on a computer and they also control the power scheme which are

• a tablet has an iPad range and allows us to communicate directly to the screen
• a phablet performs exactly like a tablet but it can make phone calls and the smartphone screen is bigger than 5 inches
• smartphone is a convergence which combines features and technology to support devices with gps locations, cameras, torches, microphones wifi etc
• a server is a powerful devices that provides services and resources whereas the client uses the services and resources and isn't as powerful as the server
• two types: dedicated devices which is a device that performs a specific task. Computers which is multipurpose allows devices to perform at a wide variety of task
• there is a need to protect your info because they could be lost information and portable device getting lost too that is why we need to ensure backups and have cable locks and motion sensors etc
• UPS stands for Uninterruptible power supply which protects computers against power outages, provides immediate power when the main power fails, isn't designed to sustain PC for extended time.
