Military Alliance was a
formal
agreement made between two or more countries to help each other
militarily
in war times.
In 1879,
German
and
Austro-Hungary
became allies.
After three years
in1882
Italy joined them, then called
Triple Alliance.
Later included
Ottoman Turkey
and was renamed
Central Powers.
But Italy left the alliance in
1915
and joined the
Triple Entente.
The other Military Alliance was formed between
France
and
Russia
in 1892 later in 1907 including Britain and formed Triple Entente.
Then, this alliance was renamed
Allied power
after being joined by more than
20
countries.
Thus, Europe began to divide in to
two military allied
groups.
