causes of urbanisation

• urbanisation is caused by:

  1. migration to urban areas
  2. high birth rates in urban areas due to the young population
  3. higher death rates in rural areas (diseases, unreliable food supply, famime, natural hazards, decreased standard of living, poor water quality, hygiene and medication) mostly found in MICs and LICs
