  • Advantages of an interview:
    - interviews are a more informal and flexible way of gathering information than a questionnaire. Because they provide first hand information and allow for the opportunity to ask open ended questions that can often provide the interviewer with detailed information
    - the interviewee may share their opinions/suggestions/feelings/experiences/ knowledge
    - the interviewer may ask supplementary questions.
  • Limitations of an interview:
    •      interviews may gather data which will be largely qualitative. This may be difficult to analyse statistically
    •      many interviews would need to be conducted, which would be time consuming to allow for valid and reliable data to be gathered.
