  • BREATHE - POSTURE
At the start of the performance, I needed good posture. This was when I took 3 steps forwards with an upright stance. This made my performance appear more confident.
  • BREATHE - COORDINATION & EXTENSION

I used the skills coordination & extension when I stepped out on my left foot up to upper stage left & my right leg extended low & long towards downstage right & simultaneously threw my right arm overhead circling inwards. These skills made my performance look effortless.
  • BREATHE - STAMINA
I also used the skill stamina throughout the performance. I improved this through running every day & gradually increasing the time I do it for. This allowed me to keep going till end of dance with full energy.
  • BREATHE - CONTROL

I used the skill control when my arms were by my side & I was facing stage left & I held this shape for 1 count. I was able to successfully do this as I improved my control through weight training & gradually increasing heaviness of weights I used over time. This helped me be safe when dancing.

    - Focus
    - Focus & Projection
    - Spatial awareness

  • BREATHE - FOCUS & PROJECTION
I also used the skill focus when I went from being in a parallel bent position with my focus looking down to opening my arms out & shifting my focus to looking up. I also used the skill projection here to emphasise the idea of a 'breath'. This helped make my performance appear more confident.
  • BREATHE - SPATIAL AWARENESS
I used the skill spatial awareness when both hands were on my right lifted knee & I hopped in order to change direction. I had to rehearse this beforehand and make sure that I left enough space so I didn't knock into anything. This made the performance more effective and safe as knocking into something, would have majorly distracted from the dance & possibly injured me.

I used the action turn in my performance when I turned inwards (anti-clockwise) & took two long runs using the action travel which also helped make my performance look more confident.
  • BREATHE - ELEVATION
I used good elevation in my dance when both hands were on my right lifted knee & I hopped in order to change direction. Having good elevation was important for making my jumps higher. This created a dramatic effect & made my performance look strong.
  • BREATHE - LEVELS & FLOOR WORK
I used levels in my performance when I went from standing up running to the floor, through scooping my right arm outwards & placed my right hand on the floor close to my right leg when I then used the skill floor work & performed a shunt. Use of levels & floor work added variety to my performance.
