Working class childrenmay have smaller, more cramped homes. This can result in a lack of space for quiet revising, distrubed sleep from sharing a bedroom, and so on. Also, cold damp ouses can cause a student to turn sick which effects their achievement as they are unable to go to school.
Diet and health
Howard (2001) note =s that young people from poorer homes have lower intakes of energy, vitamins and minerals. Poor nutritions affect health, for example, it weakens the immune system and lowering the child's energy levels. This may leads to time off school due to illness or difficulty concentrating in class.
Lack of financial support
Children will have to go without equipment and miss out on experiences that can enhance their education
Fear of debt
Working class students are more debt adverse- that is they saw debt negatively, as something to be avoided. In return, working class students are less likely to go university due to the burden if debt they would recieve
