Communicable diseases are spread from person to person and spread by pathogens such as bacteria or viruses
Pathogens are
microorganisms
that cause
infectious
disease e.g
viruses
,
bacteria
,
protists
or
fungi
Pathogens can infect
plants
and
animals
and can be spread by direct
contact
, by
water
or by
air
Non-communicable diseases are not caused by
pathogens
but instead by
lifestyle
factors like
smoking
,
poor
diet and lack of
exercise
Health is the state of
physical
and
mental
wellbeing
Bacteria
and
viruses
reproduce inside the body rapidly and produce
toxins
that
damaged tissues
making us feel
ill
Viruses are NOT
living
as they live and
reproduce
inside cells causing cell
damage
