where does salmonella live?
in the gut of many animals
how do you catch salmonella (food poisoning)?
by eating raw, uncooked chicken/eggs or food that has been contaminated by poor hygiene
what are the symptoms of salmonella?
fever, vomiting or abdominal cramps and usually occur 8-72 hours after ingesting the food
how is food poisoning cured?
the bacteria in the symptoms help kill the toxin released by salmonella by making it too hot for enzymes to work and then flushing it out of the body
