  • Fake or feint
    A deceptive move to throw a defender off balance and allow an offensive player to shoot or receive a pass. Players use their eyes, head or any other part of the body to trick an opponent

  • Shot clock
    A clock that limits the 24 seconds to a team which has to shoot the ball

    A floor violation, called walking, which occurs when the ball handler takes too many steps without dribbling it

    A play temporarily suspended by an official or at the request of a team to discuss strategy or respond to an injured player 20 seconds, 30 seconds and full time out

  • Zone defense
    A defense used extensively by a team, where each defender is responsible for an area of the court and must guard any player who enters that area
  • Dribbling- is the way of progress with the ball of an individual to get free from the opponent or get proper position in passing or shooting.

    Passing- it allows both players who are on the team to take control of the ball and move around the court while passing a player.

    Shooting- throwing the basketball toward the hoop.
