• tilt 


  the tilt of the earth on its axis varies between 21.5 degrees to 24.5 degrees. the earth's tilt changes every 41,000 years. when the earth tilts to an angle of 24.5 the ice caps melt in the summer. when this happens there is less ice in the arctic that will reflect the suns incoming heat back out to space. this causes the earth's temperature to rise.
• stretch

  the earth's orbit changes every 100,000 years. when the earth's orbit stretches away from the sun over a period of 1000s years, it causes our climate to become colder.
• wobble

  wobble describes the changing on the earth's axis. when the earth wobbles in the opposite direction when the one it is in today it will cause the climate to become colder.
