• Application Bar

  Allows setting document zoom level, turning rulers and guides on/off, tiling windows vertically or horizontally. Br and St icons for Adobe Bridge and Adobe Stock may be present depending on installation.
• Control Panel

  Allows changing properties such as text formatting, color fill, and other contextually dependent functions. Can be freely moved, floated or docked.
• Document Layout

  • Blank document created using default New dialog options. Surrounded by black borders indicating printed page limit. Pink guides define margins, purple guides define columns.
• Toolbar

  Contains tools required to work with the document, including selection, text, eyedropper tools. Clicking tools opens further functions in the Control Panel. Some tools have additional similar tools revealed by a small arrow.
• Panels Bar

  Contains additional functions, which can vary based on the workspace. Can be moved freely or docked. Clicking buttons opens pop-out windows to change properties.
• Setting ruler measurements

  1. Right-click horizontal and vertical ruler intersection and select desired units

  2. Use Units and Increments option in Preferences dialog box
• Rulers can be hidden if not needed
• Preferences dialog box can be opened by pressing Ctrl + K on Windows or Command + K on Mac
