One devolvedmatter to the ScottishGovernment is health. The ScottishGovernment has responsibility for the NHS in Scotland to ensure all people have easyaccess to healthcare and treatment through differentservices. For example, past primeministerNicolaSturgeonled the ScottishGovernment through the Covid-19pandemic and setup a specialisedhospital (the LouisaJordan Hospital) in Glasgow.
Another devolvedmatter is education. The ScottishGovernment has the responsibility of making sure that the system in Scotland is runningwell and goodqualityeducation is being provided through nurseries, schools and universities. For example, the Scottish Government gave all students in Scotland some form of computerequipment e.g laptops and ipads.
A final devolved matter is law & order. The Scottish Government has responsibility for maintaining peace and safety in Scotland through the police service, the courts and the prisons. For example, the Scottish Government runs the Scottish Prison Service (SPS).
