Cell Cycle

Cards (7)

  • Stage 1: Longest stage. Cell gows bigger, increases mass, does normal cell activites, increase subcellular structures, replicate DNA to form two copies of each chromosome ready for cell divison
  • Stage 2: Mitosis - One set of chromosomes is pulled to each end of the dividing cell and the nucleus divides
  • Stage 3: The cytoplasm and cell membrane divides to form two identical daughter cells
    1. DNA replicates
  • 2. chromosmes line up in the middle
  • 3. chromosomes are split and pulled by sindle fibres to two opposite ends
  • 4. cell membrane, cytoplasm, nuclei split to form two identical daughter cells
