Cardio

Cards (4)

  • The left ventricle pumps oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body through the aorta.
  • The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the body via the superior vena cava (SVC) and inferior vena cava (IVC).
  • The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the vena cava, which is then pumped into the right ventricle by contraction of the atria.
  • Blood flows back into the heart via the pulmonary veins, which empty into the left atrium.
