      direct discrimination, indirect discrimination, physical abuse, verbal abuse, pyschological (emotional abuse), sexual abuse, neglect, prejudice, stereotyping,labelling,bullying, harrassment and unfair treatment
    • what is the definition of direct discrimination?

      direct discrimination occurs when an individual is discriminated against overtly, via something someone says or does to them

      indirect discrimination occurs when a person is discriminated against covertly, as a result of organisational policies and practices

      when someone causes physical pain or threatens to hurt an individual

      it describes a range of negative behaviours that can intimidate or harm individuals, such as humiliating, insulting or harassing someone by constantly criticising them, making inappropriate comments or repeating offensive jokes

      behaviour that intends to violate the dignity of a person with a person with a protected characteristic or that intends to intimidate or offend them.
