    • 1st scientists to make a periodic table was John Dalton who ordered elements in order of atomic number
    • In 1864, John Newland found Law of Octaves stating that properties of every 8th was similar
    • In 1869, Dimitri Mendeleev placed elements into table used today however 50 elements hadn't been discovered
    • Dimitri Mendeleev ordered elements in order of atomic number leaving spaces for undiscovered elements. He ordered the elements so elements around each other shared similar properties
    • Dimitri Mendeleev made correct predictions about the missing elements by using ones around it to guess their properties
    • In 1932, James Chadwick carried out an experiment explaining existance of neutrons
    • Fracitional distillation is a technique used to seperate 2 liquids mixed together
    • Simple distillation seperates a solvent from soluble solids dissolved in solvent
