• Describe Kennedy:


  Was elected president in November 1960, he was a democrat and introduced the new frontier [political reforms he wanted to make] he was seen an handsome and likeable
• Civil rights- the new frontier


  appointed Thurgood Marshal as Americans first black federal judge. He sent troops to ensure that James Meredith could be the first black student at Mississippi university. He also introduced a civil rights bill.
• Economy- The new Frontier


  $900 million dollars towards the public workers program to build roads and public buildings. Increased spending on defense and space technology which created jobs. He cut taxes to encourage people to buy goods.
• Social reform- The new frontier

  Introduced a cheap system of health insurance. The social security act 1962 gave financial help to older and unemployed people. The area redevelopment act 1961 gave loans and grants to states with long-term unemployment. The housing act 1961 gave cheap loans for redevelopment of inner cities.
