• 1. Using a pipette, prepare spotting tiles by placing a drop of iodine solution in each cavity
• 2)Prepare another test tube with 2 cm32 cm3 of starch solution and place it in the water bath
• 3)Pour the starch into the amylase and buffer solution and start the timer. Make sure to keep the test tubes in the water bath.
• 4)At regular intervals (e.g. every minute), remove one of the test tubes from the water bath and add a few drops of iodine solution into the starch solution using a pipette.
• 5)Place the test tube back into the water bath and continue incubating until all the tests have been done.
• 6)Record your observations on the results table provided by your teacher.
