  • Water cycle is very important to all living things
  • Importance of water cycle
    • It is how water reaches plants, animals and us
    • It provides people, animals and plants with water
    • All life is dependent upon water
    • Water makes up 60 to 70 percent of all living matter
    • Humans cannot live without drinking water for more than a week
  • About 97 percent of water in our surroundings is salty, thus only three percent of this water is fresh or portable
  • The very small amount of fresh water is 67 lakh in the form of ice mainly found in Greenland and Antarctica
  • The water cycle provides living things with a constant supply of fresh water
  • The water cycle makes sure that water does not run out on the earth
  • Without the water cycle, living things will not have enough fresh water to survive
