  • Babur(Ruled from 1526-1530)
    He invaded Northern India from his base in Kabul and won a great victory at the Battle of Panipat He went on to gain control over parts of Northern India, but at his death in 1530, The Mugal Empire was not safe from Invaders
  • Babur's Son-Humayun(1530-1556)
    He failed to hold onto his father's lands. Humayun was driven out of India and forced to live in hiding after 1540. In 1555, Humayun gathered his army and retook Northern India. But he died suddenly in 1556
  • Humayun's son-Akbar(1556-1605)
    During his long reign of 49 years, Humayun's son, Akbar fought to take control over more than half of India. This greatly increased the size of the Mughal Empire. Akbar set up excellent communication and systems for collecting taxes. this made the Mughal empire become very wealthy. this paid for his palaces, and Akbar was very welcoming of new religions, so everyone saw him as a tolerant leader.
  • Akbar's son-Jahangir(1605-1627)
    He couldn't continue his father's legacy because he was addicted to drugs and alcohol. he did not increase the size of India in any way. |His wife Nur Jahan was a talented leader and made up for his faults. Many people lived in poverty because he was slow to set up trade links with Europe
  • Jahangir's Son-Shar Jahan(1627-1657)
    During his rule, the reign and power of the Mughal empire reached their peak. during his 30-year reign, he made the Taj Mahal and other buildings. He trained an army to take more of India
  • Share Jahan's' son Aurangzeb(1657-1707)
    he was the last emperor and was a deeply religious man. he did not spend money on unnecessary things. he was a skilled military leader and gained control of most of India during his reign.weaknesses were beginning to show.

    His uncles were plotting against him to put his younger brothers on the throne. he captured somerkand at 15. while he was capturing Samskaren they took Fergana which made him homeless. when he tried to capture Samerskan Shay Bani stopped him. he arrived in Kabul in Afghanistan .in 1505 he had his first raid into India which was successful. he then built a link from India to the rest of the world
