Sensory, relay and motor neurons

Cards (4)

  • What is a neuron?
A cell that transmits electrical impulses and is located in the nervous system.
  • What do sensory neurones do?
They receive information from receptors and take the information to the CNS.
  • What do motor neurones do?
After the brain process the information, they take the information from the brain to the effector (e.g. muscle)
  • What are neurones?

They receive and facilitate nerve impulses across their membrane to the next neurone
