  • Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in Vinci Italy. He was an incredibly skilled painter and inventor. He is considered as the renaissance man because of his interests and skills.
    • At age 14 he became an apprentice to Andrea del Verrochio,in Florence. He learned how to paint sketch et cetera from his master. When he painted the face of an angel on one of the Verrochio’s works,verrochio realised how talented he was’
  • Leonardo‘s most famous paintings are The Monalisa and the last supper. The Mona Lisa is a portrait of a wealthy Florentine merchant wife. Leonardo use the sfumato (blending of colours to make the skin appear soft. The painting of the Last Supper shows perspective (depth and distance and painting). Leonardo showed humanism in the painting of the last supper because the painting is based on a real life event.
  • Leonardo had a notebook full of inventions like helicopters cars aeroplanes tanks and submarines centuries before they were invented. Da Vinci wrote in the mirror writing(right to left) so that no one could read it and it won’t be copied. He also made sketches of people in his notebook, so that he could draw them accurately he dissected 30 bodies for anatomy.
  • He died in 1519, he is remembered today because of how skilled of a painter and inventor he was
