Motivation
The process that starts, directs, and sustainsgoal-orientedbehaviors. It includes the biological, emotional, social, and cognitiveforces that drive behavior in the direction of meeting needs or achieving objectives.
KennethBurke's theory was inspired by William Shakespeare's play As You Like It, where a character says "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players."
Burke treats real life as if it were a drama, and argues that by taking a dramatic approach to the interpretation of communicative modes, we can answer the questions: What are people doing and why are they doing it?

The context or environment in which the action (act) takes place. It includes the physicalsurroundings, socialsetting, historicalcontext, and culturalatmosphere that influence and shape human behavior.
Agent
Who is the actor? Who is it? What person or kind of person performed the act?
Agency
How it happened and the instruments and methods used. Ability of individuals or entities to act and make choices.
Purpose
The intention or goal behind a person's actions. Answers the question "Why?"
