    • Dialogue is promoted between different foods in the parable of the good Samaritan. This story is about a man who is a Jew, who was attacked by robbers from his journey from Jerusalem to Jericho and left half dead. First of all a priest past him and didn’t help, then a Samaritan came along whom was despised by jews and seen as an outsider. However when he saw the injured man he was pitiful and decided to look after him.
    • This promotes dialogue as Jesus redefined the concept of a neighbour as not just being of the same religious faith as you. As a result of this dialogue social barriers are broken, as the Samaritan whom was disliked is now a hero.
    • Why is effective dialogue and interaction important:
      • To increase mutual understanding
      • To develop good relationships
      • Break down barriers between people
Effective dialogue can promote peace and reconciliation in the world today.
