films and tv evoke sense of place which is dependant on nature of story e.g difference between crime drama or romance drama
paintings and sculptures are less reliable as they're artists interpretations but can be more effective at conveying sense of place and character

newspapers can give detail about places but may be biased , focus on stories that sell copies
