Justice

• The teachings of justice are emphasise in the eight beatitudes. One of the beatitudes states that blessed are the peacemakers, they shall be called sons of God. This urges us to create peace and balance between us and others and to do what’s honourable in the sight of God.
• justice is emphasised in one of the five pillars which is Zakat Zakat involves giving 2.5% of your owner of the charity. This promotes justice(looking to create a sense of fairness) Zaka helps to quench the idea of an equal distribution of wealth which promotes justice by providing other individuals with a source of income through the margins of society.
• Christians work for justice - they believe that God is the source of justice and that we shouldnt seek revenge but we should look to create equality between us and others. Jesus spoke about the injustices of his time in terms of the poor and rich and the oppressed people. Jesus urges us to spread peace. Justice is a value in the KOG
• Jesus taught that we must love our neighbour as ourselves. He also said that if someone asks you for something give it to them without expecting anything back. These values promote justice because they encourage us to treat everyone equally regardless of their background or status. They also show how important it is to have compassion towards those who are less fortunate than us.
• Justice is promoted in Islam through the concept of zakat. Muslims are required to donate 2.5% of their earnings to charitable causes. This encourages Muslims to share their wealth fairly and to support those who are less fortunate than themselves. It also highlights the importance of helping others and promoting social justice.
