  • what was The Spartacist revolt?
    the Spartacist league started an uprising, organising a protest with 100,000 workers going on strike. They striked because Ebert sacked a very popular police chief of Berlin In 1919. The leaders were Rosa Luxembourg and Karl leibknecht. Ebert sent in the Friekorp to stop the demonstrations, by January 16th both Rosa and Karl were shot By Freikorp officers.
  • What was the kapp putsch?

    5,000 Freirkorp soldiers protested through Berlin with their weapons after Ebert threatened to reduce their numbers. They wanted to put wolfgang kapp in charge and threatened to bring the kaiser back from Holland. To solve it Ebert asked the workers to strike and refuse to back the wolfgang putsch, this brought Germany to a halt and rid Wolfgang of the support he needed.
