Internet-based platforms that are designed for people to share information such as updates about their lives, opinions, photos and events with people from around the world
Examples include Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram
Comics and graphic novels
Stories told through drawn images, speech bubbles and text from every genre from horror to science fiction
Originally produced as paper products, many comic books and graphic novels are now available digitally
Websites
Set of related web pages stored on the internet. You can usually jump between them using hyperlinks
Created by professionals and amateurs, websits are available for any purpose on any topic
Multimedia
Combines different content forms e.g. text, images, sound, video and animation. Examples include presentations, interactive games and information kiosks such as touch-screen ordering devices at restaurants
eBooks
Electronic versions of any printed newspaper, magazine or book
Bought or downloaded from the internet and read on eReaders, tablets and smartphones
Augmented reality (AR)

Displays graphics and information over an image of the real world using either glasses or a device screen
Virtual reality (VR)

Replaces our view of the world with a 3D representation through a headset that's able to track our movement
