• The American dream has been the main reason for thousands of immigrants to see the USA as the Promised Land. Since the 17th century it has been a unifying element across people from different nationalities, races and social backgrounds who have shared common values such as freedom, equality and happiness.

  Chris Gardner's journey from homelessness to a successful stockbroker exemplifies the possibility of upward economic mobility. This resonates with the belief in meritocracy, influencing policies aimed at creating opportunities for individuals to improve their socio-economic status.
• The depiction of economic success and upward mobility in the film motivates people to pursue economic migration to the United States. They see America as a land of opportunity where hard work can lead to a better standard of living and greater economic prosperity.
• Unlike some American families living in big houses the protagonist shows how miserable the contrary is, he has to wait in long queues with other homeless people to get a bed, the absence of the mother figure in his family is another key element that reinforces the sense of how with the big mansion comes the family
• The main character, this indefatigable role model who fights to the bitter end without giving up, and gets back up every time like rocky, is the embodiment of the American dream: someone who starts at the bottom and ends up at the very top. The trainee who climbs the ladder to create his own company 
• The movie Rokcy4 focused on event of the boxing match between Rocky and his Soviet opponent Drago, a USSR government project, that embodies Russian power with vast investments in his training and equipment, Rocky, an immigrant who climbed to the top, remains humble he is the definition of the American self-made man.
