  • Prisoners were 'arrested' in their homes. They were stripped, given uniforms, were given tags and were blindfolded on their way to the prison.

  • Findings: That social roles were quickly established and conformed to. Guards took roles enthusiastically and constantly harassed the prisoners. They seemed to enjoy the power they had over the prisoners. Prisoners rebelled.
