  • About socialisation. Girls are more likely to do more educational things outside of school. She argues that for teenage girls the bedroom is a place where they can meet and gossip with their friends at sleepovers, and spend lots of time on the internet. Bedroom culture argues that girls are socialised not to engage in crime because they are 'trapped' in their room. While boys go out to play girls will stay in their rooms looking on the internet, reading or developing how they speak by talking to friends.
