    • ane Harrison in her 2007 play “Rainbow’s End” explores the dark side of British colonialism in Australia during the 1950s.
    • It presents a world dominated by white people and racial discrimination through the lens of three Aboriginal women(Nan Dear, Gladys, and Dolly).
    • Harrsion reveals that the Aboriginal people face conscious stereotypes and prejudices from the whites, especially Dolly’s personal ambitions and the generational shift in hopes. 
    • Harrison further argues the Indigenous people get implicit racism which is painful as explicit racism through their living under the control and inequality from the welfare government.
    • Moreover, the play showcases the loss of  hopes of the older generation caused by discrimination which leads to obstacles for the next generation’s dreams .
