free will is the idea that we all have choices in how we act

what is self-actualisation?
fundamental to human nature is the desire to grow and develop to achieve our full potential
maslows hierarchy of needs ranges from basic needs to higher level of psychological and actualisation needs
all 4 levels of hierarchy must be met before an individual can work towards self-actualisation
self actualisation is the process in which people reach their full potential
not everyone can manage to reach their full potential as there could b psychological barriers that may prevent this
carl rodgers thought that individuals strive to achieve their ideal self
rodgers believes that the self refers to how we percieve ourselves as a person
rodgers argues that we have two basic needs: a positive regard from other people and a some feeling of self worth
