      strength: more detailed than nominal and can see the range weaknesses: the gaps between values don;t have to be equal so mean cant always be used to analyse data

      organising people into three groups of tall, average, short. yes/no, female/male responses
    • what are the strengths and weaknesses of nominal data
      strengths: easy to generate and work with, closed questions weaknesses: limited details, can only use the mode when analysing data
